Stay Sharp Kits & Pet Companion Kits

Stay Sharp Kits

Stay Sharp Kits are a wonderful resource for adults (and the caregivers of adults) who are experiencing memory loss and other cognitive issues related to dementia, Alzheimer's disease, and other memory disorders.  These themed kits are filled with a variety of materials and activities that have been designed to promote cognitive skills.  Some activities focus more on conversation and socializing, others on motor skills and critical thinking.  All work to stimulate mind and memory and improve mental speed while eliciting a sense of accomplishment and independence.

Stay Sharp Kits and Pet Companion Kits can be found in our Library of Things collection near the Community Puzzle, next to the Oversized Books.  Kits can also be placed on hold (to be picked up at Trenton Veterans Memorial Library only) through our online catalog.

Pet Companion Kits are designed to bring comfort, companionship and fun to elderly loved ones.  The realistic fur, pet-like sounds, and sensors that respond to petting and hugs with familiar pet-like actions provide a personally rich experience.  Pet Companions can bring joy and comfort to aging loved ones without the risks and costs of owning a real pet.
