Teen Summer Reading Program 2026

Join us for the teen summer reading program starting on Monday, June 1st, and ending on Saturday, August 1st, 2026, at 5:00 PM EDT!

Log in to your account or create a new one by clicking on the image above anytime between Monday, June 1st, and Saturday, August 1st, at 5 PM.

If you'd like to use a paper log to keep track of your hours, please use this form. Reading time must be logged online to count towards prizes and raffle tickets. Please call the library if you need assistance at (734) 676-9777 or email tpubliclibrary@trenton-mi.com.

When you've set up an account, start reading and logging in your time.  Books, graphic novels, magazines, audiobooks, eBooks, and more count towards time spent reading.  While supplies last, you can earn prizes for 3, 7, and 13 hours of reading. 

If you complete the Summer Reading Program by reading for 15 hours, you are welcome to keep logging your minutes until the program ends on August 1st, but you will not be awarded any more raffle tickets.

Everyone is limited to a maximum of seven (7) raffle tickets.

The last chance to log in time will be Saturday, August 1st, by 5 PM EDT. The Raffle Basket winners will be announced on August 4th.

An opportunity for children to imagine being a paleontologist and learn about several species of dinosaurs while exploring the library space.  This self-paced program will be set up around the library.   It will be available to do anytime between June 1st and June 6th.

Since some of our local schools will just be finishing up, we'll start Summer Reading with a relaxing craft of Dinosaur Diamond Art to get you in the summer mood!   Thursday, June 11th @ 2 PM | Registration Required  Ages 5+

Drop in for a hands-on button making event. We will be using our Button Making Machine to create pin-back buttons.  You can bring photos, cover art, or whatever images you’d like to make into a button; we will also have the option to design your button art here.  Wednesday, June 17th 6 PM to 7 PM |  Registration Requested.

A high-energy show full of comedy, audience participation, amazing juggling, tricks on various-sized unicycles, and balancing acts.  Thursday, June 18th @ 2:30 PM | Registration Required  All Ages  Held at Westfield Center - Banquet Hall East Side

Are owls truly wise? Do turtles come out of their shells? You’ll find the answers to these questions and more! This program addresses common wildlife myths and, together with the audience’s help, we’ll find out if they are “correct” or “cracked" while learning about wildlife. *Live Animals*  Thursday, July 9th @ 2 PM | Registration Required  All Ages

Have fun uncovering artifacts like an archaeologist by carefully excavating chocolate chips from a cookie while using an excavation grid. While performing this activity, you will also learn about the tools and terms used by archaeologists on a dig site!   Thursday, July 23rd @ 2 PM | Registration Required  Ages 6+

Come celebrate the End of Summer Reading!  This after-hours program will be packed full of STEAM programs for you to rotate through.   Friday, July 31st @ 6 PM to 8 PM | Registration Encouraged  All Ages
