Governor Gretchen Whitmer announced that President Joe Biden has approved Michigan’s request for a disaster declaration in nine counties, including Wayne County. If your residence or business sustained losses during the severe storms, tornadoes and flooding of August 24-26, 2023, contact FEMA to apply for assistance. The last day to apply is April 8, 2024.
