Jackson Faulkner's Dramascapes
A Charmed Life. The house is empty now. As they were leaving for the last time, she placed a bouquet of artificial flowers on the windowsill...
This presentation by photographer Jackson Faulkner explores the effects of entropy on our landscape and our collective memory. Jackson presents our past in a personal and narrative style to honor and show beauty for the pioneers and their machines that once made our country great. Originally raised in Detroit, he now resides in Washington state which has allowed him to connect to our rural roots and preserve them through his unique “Dramascapes”. He is a photographer with a passion for capturing images of rural landscapes and documenting their history for future generations. This virtual presentation will include short video clips of Jackson’s excursions, allowing attendees to “walk” into some of the actual locations and explore alongside him. Jackson will share some of his favorite photos and the stories behind them. The format will be a live Zoom presentation. It will be a live event that will include a moderated chat forum during the presentation where participants can ask questions. It will also feature short video clips of some of his explorations Not only will people see the images, but they will also be able to "walk" into some of the actual locations and explore alongside him!
